Wedding DJ Process by Medeiros Black Tie DJ Entertainment

Today I would like to explore what our wedding process is for prospective Brides that are looking to work with us.  Please feel free to share this to engaged couples that may be wondering what the booking process may be like.

Consultation

The first step is the  consultation.  It is important to make sure that the DJ you are looking for is able to meet your needs, budget, and style.  Equally important to us, is that we feel the wedding is a match for our services too.  We provide this consultation over the phone initially, and if needed, also do a sit down meeting.  Right here in the Tampa area of Florida, we find that most couples appreciate this part of the step, they know we are taking the time to see if there is a match!

Pricing

The next step is pricing.  The number one question that Brides ask when inquiring is of course… How much?  While we understand that price is important, it shouldn’t be the only question.  Like any other product or service, if the price is a bit higher but will fulfill a need of yours, it is up to you to see if there is enough value for what you receive.  Our pricing does vary depending on location, services provided, time involved, and much more.  During the consultation, we provide pricing to the Bride and Groom.

Agreement

After the consultation and pricing, it is time to move forward with reserving the date.  We offer low deposits to ensure affordability to the newly engaged couple.  Aside from the deposit, we provide a signed agreement with all of our events.  This ensures that the couple knows they have in writing, a Wedding DJ!  We suggest that couples do this with all their vendors, as we have heard too many horror stories of vendors suddenly not providing services that they said they were going to.

Planning

After all that is out of the way, it’s time to plan!  All couples receive an online planning portal.  The login can be seen at our Client Area.  There are many features with this online planning, which include:

  • Timeline forms
  • Music request lists
  • Custom profile picture
  • Bridal party list
  • Online payments
  • and more!

About 1 month before the wedding, we then plan a “Final Details” meeting.  At this meeting, we discuss all the above items, specialty songs, request lists, timelines, etc.. We want to make sure all the details are ironed out for the big day!

Wedding Day

The big day is now here!  Black Tie DJ Entertainment will arrive very early to set up and conduct a sound check.  When the wedding guests arrive, they will arrive to the background music playing in order to create the right atmosphere.  Through the night, we will ensure that the timeline, request list, and coordination with the other vendors are all completed.
